Level Two - Advanced Directing

Superior board performance requires more than a basic understanding of a director’s duties, functions and powers. Many directors acquire information in these areas and still do not add the value they could be contributing to the organization.  For example, the board is less involved in operations but is not providing leadership to the CEO.
To provide advanced directing, directors must understand the business model and strategic environment of the organization they are responsible for. (All organizations acquire and deploy resources. The elements of this process constitute their business model).
