The executive is made up of the most senior managers of the organization and is led by the CEO. Executives face unique challenges and opportunities as the conduit between the board, operations and the external environment. The ability of the executive to lead is dependent on factors including how the CEO makes use of the executive, team work, strength of vision and capacity to balance operational demands with strategy.
