Consulting methodology

To serve our clients VMO adheres to the following consulting philosophy:

 

Consultants should be judged by the value they contribute to the client organization

Consultants must add value, not just repeat the ideas of the client’s staff

The ability to assess the organization’s intelligence is imperative in the consultative process

Analysis should offer fresh, timely and accurate insights

Where instructed, consultants should act as an agent of change for the client

 

The consultative process should:

Involve, inform and empower participants

Build on the strengths and opportunities of the client organization

Offer solutions to manage or mitigate weaknesses and threats

 

The tools used by VMO have been validated through 25 years successful experience, client feedback, long term follow through with clients and bench marking against international best practice.  VMO has sustained a research project over the past 20 year period, collating de-identified data on indicators of board, executive and organizational success factors, which informs VMO’s practice approach, products and articles.
